All About Clearwater Valley Pony Club
Our club year generally runs from November to August, depending on what activities we decide to participate in within the region.
Throughout the winter we meet-up once a week to learn about everything equine. We cover a wide variety of topics some of which include vet & first aid, nutrition, anatomy & conformation as well as saddlery. Once the weather clears up, typically around May, we begin our riding lessons. These lessons are currently held at the Beaumont Ag. Grounds twice a week, one lesson being dressage and the other being stadium. We also have cross country lessons about twice per month which are also held at the Beaumont Ag. Grounds. Typical club activities that we hold throughout the year include our pony club camp in July, hosting Beaumont Horse Trials, several youth bonding outings (most recently a trip to LaunchPad) as well as a wind-up party. Not only can you participate in club activities, there are numerous opportunities to partake in Alberta North Region events. These events include winter theory camp, quiz, Prince Philip Games, regional horse show, rally as well as many clinics are hosted throughout the year.
